About the Item

Wim Rietveld model 415/1401 Wim Rietveld was born in 1924 and his father was Gerrit Rietveld, a leading Dutch designer who created the famous Red and Blue Chair. After studying Industrial Design at the Royal Academy of fine Arts in Den Haag, he worked on a number of product designs for the Dutch furniture company Gispen. 1958: left Gispen and started working with Friso Kramer at Arent.
