Yellow vintage Jugendstil Secession style patio armchair from rattan designed in the circle of Josef Hoffmann attributed to Prag - Rudniker Korbwaren - Fabrikation and manufactured circa 1908 Vienna. The beautiful cubus square shape with rhombic pattern on each side features rattan network and a wooden seat frame, which is also wrapped with rattan. We love this chair for its extraordinary rattan network in a sunny yellow color tone. Professionally restored and in very good condition with signs of age and use, like patina. Stable and comfortable Approx. measures: Width: 76 cm ( maximum width ) Depth: 52 cm Height: 73 cm Seat height: 42 cm Prag - Rudniker Korbwaren - Fabrikation started 1877 in Gallicia. The main department was in Prag and routed 1910 to Vienna. Prag - Rudniker had many establishments in Germany, France, U.K and USA. In the first years Prag - Rudniker followed the famed English and American role models after then they decided to engage artists, who designed models for their company. Artists, who also designed for Prag - Rudniker were Adolf Holub, Joseph Urban, Otto Prutscher, Hans Schmidt, Koloman Moser. As well Hans Schmid as Hans Vollmer were students under Josef Hoffmann and guided the company Prag - Rudniker. Both designers brought the square and cubus shape into the wicker furniture design by Prag - Rudniker Korbmöbelfabrikation.
