About the Item
The Twig Bench was created by Jordan Mozer + Associates, Ltd. for Nectar Restaurant, at the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, NV. The design explored a branching twig motif, inspired by the inventive employment of organic forms by pre-Columbian indigenous peoples in their architecture and sacred artifacts. The motif informs the chair frame and material. Hand-carved in maple, and then cast in 93% recycled magnesium-aluminum alloy then hand polished and patinated
"Mozer’s rich design aesthetic can be found in many interiors around the world including hotels, restaurants and luxury retail stores. His impressive clients include Volkswagen, George Lucas, Disney and The Rolling Stones to name a few. We reupholstered the bench on a gorgeous paprika mohair that beautifully contrasts the metal finish of the frame. The bench frame is in excellent condition showing only minimal signs of wear and use.
