Petite Austrian Biedermeier Maple Bench with Out-Scrolled Arms from the 1840s

An Austrian Biedermeier petite maple wood upholstered window seat without-scrolled arms and cross stretcher from the mid-19th century. Born during the Biedermeier period that animated Austria and Germany in the first half of the 19th century, this petite bench features two out-scrolled arms flanking a rectangular seat, newly recovered with a simple linen upholstery. Four delicately scrolled legs support the ensemble and are connected to one another with a cross stretcher, whose delicious linearity contrasts with the curvy Silhouette of the bench perfectly. With its flawless lines and beautiful wood finish, this Austrian Biedermeier petite bench, circa 1840, will be a stylish addition to any home.
