Charming 19th century country French stripped oak hall bench features a decidedly Baroque influence in the hand-carved bas relief that appears on the seat/trunk below and the seatback itself. Seat opens to reveal immense storage for blankets or pillows, etc! Handcrafted from solid old-growth oak, stripped to reveal century old patina and beauty of the wood, circa 1890s. Measures: 48 H x 50 W x 20 D.
