About the Item

19th century hand carved oak bench from France. The top is made from a single board and has a hand carved decorated and beveled edge, following down to an excellent hand carved and scalloped apron depicting florals, leaves and a central crest, flanked by dragons. The bench is supported on hand turned barley twist legs, which adds such an elegant design element to the piece!
