19th Century Highly Carved English Oak Bench Hall Seat w Carved Lions & Dragons

About the Item

Fantastic highly carved Gothic Oak hall bench with full lions and winged dragons on the back panel. Full body mythic lions make up the armrests while the back panel has swirling dragon heads. Above the arms is carved fruit and the skirt has more decorative paneling that is carved. Carvings are throughout the piece. Lockset with key and plenty of storage below the seat. Fabulous statement for an entryway. Will be freshened up with some oil and rubbed down prior.
