19th Century Original Painted Narrow Bench with Storage, Hungary

About the Item

Antique hand painted narrow bench with divided seats and storage; 6.5' long. Two bench seats open to reveal interior storage. Traditional Eastern European folk art painting with dark blue background and red and green flowers. Wear related distress to painted finish is seen throughout, especially along seats and front. This bench is only 13.5" deep, allowing it to be placed in a difficult to fit narrow space. Restored, strong and stable. Can sit on bench; ready for use. Waxed finish. Slight rise to lip of seat on right. Old cracks, aged separations, nicks, scratches, distress/wear to painted finish are visible throughout but do not impact function.
