Impressive eighteen inch wide single slab chaise or bench. Beautiful patina on this aged organic teak slab. Perfect in a modern setting. The old with the new. Full dimensions; 64" long x 18” wide x 16” seat height x 29” high back rest. This bench was handmade in the spirit of Wabi-Sabi, a Japanese philosophy that beauty can be found in imperfection and impermanence. It is a beauty of things modest and humble. A beauty of things unconventional. It is the opposite of vulgarity. The costs of achieving this kind of minimalism are seemingly inconsistent with its mission of aesthetic humility.
