Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning original circa 1810-1820 Regency Grained simulated Rosewood painted Ebonized Parcel Gilt and Caned Window seat Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price This is a truly stunning piece, it is very comfortable, ornately carved and sculpted all over and with the original distressed painted finish. In the early Georgian, Regency and Victoria era it was the fashion of the day to paint your furniture to look like other timbers, it showed you were up on all the latest trends Condition wise the piece is in fine order, the paint is heavily worn and distressed as you would expect based on being around 230 years old, the frame would have had various repairs over the years, I have checked, glued and clamped any issues and it is as solid as you could possibly hope, that said, given the out swept design of the legs, I wouldn't recommend the piece for a heavily set person, I'm 90kgs and it takes my weight just fine Dimensions Height:- 67cm Width:- 103cm Depth:- 39cm Seat height:- 44cm, seat width:- 78cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
