Antique White Painted Gustavian Bench from Sweden

About the Item

Painted white with gold accents, this antique Gustavian bench has a removeable cushion seat and open back. Architectural elements such as turned spindles create the sides and carved panels along the front add to the visual intrigue of this captivating bench. Please enlarge the detailed photos to appreciate the aged, worn patina and Egyptian figural heads that adorn the front. The bench seat is removeable as seen in the photos. This bench is solid, stable and ready to be used but has not been restored. As the original fabric is still in place, the buyer will likely choose to re-upholster.
