This chair is comprised of a tubular chrome cantilever frame and is upholstered in a bright and beautiful red vinyl faux leather that demands attention. This piece has no tag or markings but is done in the style of the era’s greats: Gilbert Rohde, Wolfgang Hoffman, Warren McArthur, Donald Desky, Alfons Bach, Gilbert Rhode, Marcel Breuer, and from online searches attributed to KEM Weber for Lloyd’s Manufacturing. It doesn’t get much better than that!! You could use this fabulous chair in your living room, bedroom, sitting room, or kitchen. It would be a wonderful chair at a vanity or a stylish place to sit to take off your shoes in the entry way. The possibilities are truly endless. KEM Weber (1889-1963) was a German-born architect and furniture designer. His birth name was Karl Emanuel Martin Weber but in 1914, he changed his first name to a less German sounding, 'Kem' when he became stranded in the USA after the outbreak of the First World War. Kem Architecture was part of the West Coast Modernist movement in America. His designs included many projects and products in Streamline Modern, a form of Art Deco design and architecture that was extremely popular in the USA and Europe in the 1930s. This style emphasized curved forms and long horizontal lines; it was the epitome of sophistication and modernity in that era. Awesome Mid-Century Modern bench or daybed in the style of Arthur Umanoff for Madison Furniture Co. Comprised of the original turquoise vinyl faux leather with box stitching and chrome steel legs. In beautiful vintage condition. There is some sun fading on ends of the skirt and a nick in the vinyl on one corner and a few other nicks have been touched up. Gorgeous MCM royal blue velvet and chrome cube loveseat and chair after Milo Baughman. Comprised of a chrome frame and tufted button or button tuck inner arms and seat backs. Beautiful vintage condition. There are a few places where you can see wear to the fabric, or not wear exactly but where velvet backing can be seen between the rows of thread. This is minor and does not detract from their overall beauty. Please see photos, circa 1960s-1970s. Handsome streamline modern, Mid-Century Modern, or Industrial style royal blue & vinyl or faux leather and chrome chaise or daybed with adjustable head or back rest. Wonderful condition keeping in mind that this is vintage & not new so there will be signs of wear & use. The beautiful original royal blue vinyl has some nicks, holes, & dings, specifically on the four corners, which have been repaired. One of the chrome legs has pitting that has been polished & touched up. And there is a small 1/4 “cut” in the main pad area which we felt was better left alone. Some may want to recover but repairs are minor & look great, so it is priced accordingly. Please see photos & zoom in for details. We attempt to portray imperfections. Circa mid-20th-late 20th century. Note: The vinyl has been treated with lexol and is ready to use. No dust cover as legs are easily removeable for transporting & storage.
