About the Item

An elegant solid wood dining bench available in a variety of woods with an upholstered seat by Thomas Hayes Studio. It is designed to complement and match our Basic Dining Chairs. The frames are accented with solid polished brass plugs, and the bench is sturdy, comfortable and versatile. The price is COM/COL (customer's own material). You may source your own material or leather, or we have some in stock. Available for custom order and the lead time is 6-8 weeks; sometimes we are able to complete projects faster, so please contact us to inquire. WOOD OPTIONS: Solid Walnut, Oak, Mahogany ($3000) Rosewood ($3400) FINISH OPTIONS: Satin Lacquer in Natural, Ebonized, or Bleached, or specially formulated Hand-Rubbed Oil in a variety of custom shades. These oil finishes are flat, water proof and penetrate deeply, bonding with the upper fibers of the wood to create a silky surface that feels “finished” but looks like raw wood. Available in Blanched, Pure, Gray, Chocolate, & Charcoal. PLUG OPTIONS: Solid brass plugs are available in light patina, dark patina, polished, or brushed, starting at the top and going clockwise. Please refer to the last image to see these options. Also available with solid matching wood plugs. This particular chair is in Solid Natural Walnut with Satin Lacquer Finish and Polished Brass Plugs. For any custom pieces with solid wood or wood veneer, we deliberately choose to use beautifully figural wood that may have some irregularities. You can expect much variation in grain and some knots, slight cracks, and small filled knot holes that are naturally occurring in the completed pieces. It is part of our aesthetic and process when making hand crafted pieces to not attempt to hide these natural irregularities that we believe make a piece more beautiful and unique.
