Circa 1835-45 Swedish Painted Lift-Seat Storage Bench

About the Item

Circa 1835-45 Swedish painted lift-seat storage bench. Classical period, grandly proportioned. Seat with lift top revealing compartmented storage. The oval panelled back provides a geometric relief to the boldly undulating Rococo crest rail. Scrolled, flat legs lift upward to scrolled arm supports over turned decorative stiles.
