About the Item
This bench has been designed to bring people together in a playful way. And it works!
Once seated, people – even complete strangers – spontaneously start rolling sideways on the marbles, bumping against each other’s bums. Sliding across the marbles, combined with the sound of rolling glass, it’s hard not to have fun. The experience unites you with your neighbour, even when you are not moving at all. Try it out!
The "Come a little bit closer" bench, designed in 2001 by Nina Farkache for Droog Design is a unique seating experience. Only about 30 were ever produced, of which several ended up in the museum collections around the world. It is no longer in production. This example is in an excellent all original condition.
