This Brazilian midcentury inspired Marcelo bench is a unique creation by Leon Leon Design from Mexico City. It features a powder-coated steel base and a 100% hand-carved solid Parota wood cover.
The Parota wood or Huanacaxtle is a tropical or humidity-resistant wood from the Mexican Pacific coast. Parota is a natural highly veined wood which gives strong contrast of colors. Therefore each piece is unique and may present differences from the reference picture.

Inspired by the famous Acapulco Chair from the Mexican 50’s and Mid-Century modern, we design colorful handcrafted products for the home and public spaces. Since 2013 we are working to offer a wide varity of materials, including sustainable and innovative alternatives such as vegetal fibers: Henequén (agave fiber), jute and pinapple leather. From carpenters to wealthers we focus on craftsmanship for every single piece. We aim to bring back the old fashioned know-how into modern furniture you will love for years.
