Early 18th Century Oak and Elm ‘Metamorphic’ Monk’s Bench

About the Item

With lifting lid to the seat, the plank top folding over to make a tavern table, and extensive marks, blacksmith and notches to the arms and overall surface. Table dimensions: Height 79 cm Width 162 cm Depth 90 cm Seat dimensions, when used as a bench, in ‘settle’ form: Height 135 cm Seat height 41 cm Depth 65 cm Width 162 cm.
