French 1860s Empire Style Walnut Bench with Out-Scrolled Sides and Swan Figures

About the Item

A French Empire style walnut bench from the mid-19th century, with carved swan heads and new upholstery. This French walnut backless bench features an exquisite silhouette, flanked without-scrolled sides adorned with delicate carved swan figures. The bench is upholstered in a simple linen, accented with a brass nailhead trim. The skirt is adorned with carved rosettes typical of the Empire style and is raised on four elegant splayed feet. With its nice patina, graceful lines and perfectly detailed carving, this French walnut bench, circa 1860 will compliment any décor beautifully, from a living room to a bedroom.
