French Louis XV Style Upholstered Bench with Giltwood Frame, circa 1920

About the Item

This exquisite French Louis XV style bench from the early 20th century features an oval shaped smooth muslin upholstered seat with custom-made cushion over a lovely giltwood body. The curvy skirt is delicately decorated with stylized shell motifs. The piece is raised on six elegant cabriole legs with scrolled feet. The old gilding over gesso shows a wonderful patina. This elegant French Louis XV style bench, circa 1920 would be a charming addition to any living room or bedroom.
