French Louis XVI Style Lacquered Oval Cane Bench
About the Item
Colorful caned oval bench or footstool featuring a crimson red lacquered finish. The bench was made in the French Louis XVI taste with a honeycomb caned seat. The seat has a reeded apron and decorative carved rosettes. Supported by fluted, tapered legs ending with toupie feet. The seat measures 15.5 inches high and is topped with a 4 inch vintage seat cushion in a conforming shape for a total seat height of 19.5 inches high. Could be used as a window bench, footstool, ottoman, or at the end of a bed. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
