A Georgian Style Solid Walnut Bench Made and Labeled by W. Charles Tozer

About the Item

A fine quality George II style walnut bench with cabriole legs ending in trifed feet. The piece was made and signed by W. Charles Tozer a maker and retailer of high quality furniture, specializing in early Georgian and Queen Anne walnut revival pieces. He was established at 25 Brook Street, London from the early 20th century until about 1960 and was known for the quality of his workmanship and materials used. This particular piece retains its original needlepoint upholstery and a label by the maker.
