Good English Antique Walnut & Cane Window Seat On Claw & Ball Legs

About the Item

Antique walnut and cane window seat of good quality. Circa 1900-1920. Delivery is INCLUDED in the price for all areas in MAINLAND England & Wales. A versatile seat that could also be used at the end of a bed. The seat is of good proportions, having rounded corners terminating on hand carved Chippendale style legs. Scroll swags lead to shells on the knees, with bell flowers under on claw and ball feet. The cane seat is excellent with no damage. It has probably been replaced at some point, but not very recently. The underside shows a very small amount of woodworm, this is old but has been treated as a precaution. A sliver of wood has been added to one side at some point in its life, please refer to photograph number 13. Additional dimensions information: The seat width is 115cm x 44.5cm deep.
