About the Item

Minimalist pair of upholstered stools in the style of Harvey Probber, circa 1960s. Austere and rectilinear in form, these stools are the perfect ottomans in front of lounge chairs and can be tucked away under a console table when not in used. They're perfect as bunched coffee tables or side tables with trays or at the end of twin beds. The original upholstery is in excellent condition and a wonderful mix of muted peach, muted forest green and tones therein. The mix is surprisingly neutral considering the action of the pattern. The structure is in very good vintage condition and both ottomans can bear weight, but a couple of the legs do have movement. The pieces are strong, but seem to have been constructed with a little bit of loose connectivity. We have not found this to be an issue, but wanted to mention it for full transparency.
