About the Item
This Hollywood Regency Pair of Aged Brass and Iron Upholstered Benches Attributed to Maison Jansen have a luxurious and minimalistic look and are perfect if you are looking to bring a sense of luxury and sophistication into your home or place of choosing. This pair of benches is equipped with quality light olive colored tufted upholstery which appears to have been done within the last 10 years as well as an aged brass and wrought iron frame. These benches are perfect to be used as entryway benches and can also be used in your living room or bedroom and will certainly be a conversation starter at your next gathering having your guests mesmerized by their attention to detail and sophisticated look. The pair is made of the highest quality and although not signed by Maison Jansen with over 50 years and three generations worth of experience we do believe that this pair is by the interior design firm. Maison Jansen was an interior decoration office based out of Paris founded in 1880 by Jean-Henri Jansen. They specialized in mostly Louis XV and Louis XVI style furniture and then progressed and adapted to changes throughout the years until they transitioned into Mid Century Modern and Hollywood regency in their final years. The firm closed its doors in 1989. The firm was taken over Stephane Boudin in 1920 who continued the legacy and was responsible for decorating the white house with Jackie Kennedy while President JFK was in office as well as a handful of other prominent families across the world. This pair is in good vintage/antique condition with light surface scratches and minor tarnishing to the brass accents and iron as to be expected with a vintage item as they are not new but otherwise good condition!
