Italian 1820s Walnut Bench with Red Fabric, Turned Legs and Stretchers
About the Item
An Italian walnut bench from the early 19th century, with red fabric, petite tassels, turned legs and stretchers. Created in Italy during the first quarter of the 19th century, this walnut bench features a long rectangular seat covered with a red fabric showing good signs of aging and accented with petite tassels on the surround. The bench is raised on six turned legs resting on square block joints and petite turnip style feet, connected to one another through side stretchers of similar style strengthened by additional feet. Boasting a dark brown patina, this Italian walnut bench circa 1820 will bring a touch of subtle elegance to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, kitchen, hallway or bedroom.
