English 1820s Georgian Period Walnut Bench with Lift Top and Cross Motifs

About the Item

An English Georgian period walnut bench from the early 19th century, with lift top and cross motifs. Created in England during the first quarter of the 19th century, this walnut bench was probably found in a church. Showcasing a top with studs that lifts up to reveal a convenient storage space, the bench is carved on the apron with a cross in the center, flanked with rosettes and Scriptures. Resting on four legs accented with thin columns, this English Georgian walnut bench circa 1820 will bring an elegant presence to any study, living room or bedroom.
