Italian 1860s Painted Wood Bench with Gilded Accents and New Upholstery

About the Item

An Italian painted wood bench from the mid 19th century, with gilded accents and new upholstery. Born in Italy during the third quarter of the 19th century, this exquisite bench features an open back, accented with gilded X-motifs and delicate rosettes. The open arms are adorned with waterleaves on their extremities and flank a long upholstered seat newly recovered with a neutral linen fabric with brass nailheads, complimenting the graceful lines beautifully. Raised on four saber legs and painted in a soft color, this Italian wooden bench circa 1860 will bring a touch of classical elegance to any home, whether placed in a living room, bedroom or foyer.
