About the Item
This life-size ram sculpture or ottoman, bench or footstool was designed by Joel Donahoe in Truckee, CA, in the 1980s and 90s. Known as the Lambkin benches, these were sold at design centers across the United States. In the style of Hans-Peter Krafft. The sheep bodies are fabricated from polyurethane foam with 1/2/ steel reinforcement through body and legs. The back has a 3"pad of foam for comfort. The faces and feet are fiberglass which has been flocked with 1/32" rayon fibers. The horns are fiberglass that have been painted and stained. The faux fur bodies are strong enough to support up to 200 pounds. The sheep are completely washable with a mild shampoo and warm water NO BLEACH. Wash in the same manner as you would a pet and leave in the sun to dry. (Bleach will cause severe discoloration of the flocking.).
