Refined Italian Art Deco bench with solid walnut structure at the ends of which there are two strong black lacquered wooden boards that work as a base, the velvet cushion is perfectly housed in the structure then removable (see photo); the bench was made in an artisan workshop in Lissone (Monza-Brianza-Italy) between 1930 and 1935 (the area of Lissone has always been famous for the production of high-quality carpentry); the craftsmen were inspired by the desire to create an object of limited size with strong and simple lines and have given the bench a timeless elegance; its design plays between austerity and rigor and its exasperated linearity gives the object a dynamic and elegant character.
