Monumental Mid-Century Bench

About the Item

A monumental mid-20th century American hall bench designed by architect Boyd Hill for a private residence built in Lake Forest, IL in 1959. Hill completed several commercial projects, most notably the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, and did few residential projects. The bench features an oak top with flared and raised edges, six leather wrapped legs, and bronze capped feet.
