Oak bench by Daniel Nikolovski

Handmade from locally sourced oak wood, originating from the south of Macedonia, the Oak Series are defined by a bold sculptural composition and visually appealing contrasts of volumes. These series are part of a series ‘Support Macedonian Design’ aiming on creating stronger relation between macedonian designers, craftsmen and physical/online stores.
Oak bench is made from different thicknesses of massive oak boards, interlocked between eachother with minimal jointery.
Oak dining table is defined by a circular top with soften edge, resting on a decagonal base. Dining tables are a place for family and socialising, so keeping that in mind, the single leg (base) offers comfortability and uninterrupted usage.
Mini & Maxi coffee tables are complementing eachother and are inspired by lake geologies. The organic top surface has a soften bottom edge and is sitting on a decagonal shape.
Daniel Nikolovski (1992) is a Macedonian-born interior and furniture designer, currently living and working in Milan, Italy. His work is narrative-driven and is characterised by the use of sculptural geometries, altering proportions, expressed through rich range of materials such as: steel, resin, tortoiseshell acetate, boldly-patterned woods and fabrics used in the fashion industry.
An alumni of Istituto Europeo di Design (BA) - Milan and a graduate of the Royal College of Art (MA) - London, some of his past work experiences include: Creative Direction and Design for the furniture brand KABINET, Verona (2019), Set Design for the exhibition Designing Craft / Crafting Design, Vienna (2017), Interior Design for NCDA, Hong Kong (2015).
Throughout his career, he has presented his work at Salone del Mobile, FIAC (Paris), Paris Design Week, Offsite Online (NY) and Vienna Design Week. Daniel’s work has been published in Elle Decoration, Marie Claire Maison, AD and The New York Times.

MAZER COLLECTION:
Mazer represents a series of geometric sculptures, each a celebration of the fundamental beauty and natural variation of stone. Strict brutalist forms of the table and seating collection are juxtaposed by soft organic cutaways carving through the porous stone surfaces, revealing the natural beauty and character of travertine. Named after the medieval term ‘Mazer’ meaning bowl, the collection presents subtle organic forms proportioned for table and seating function designed for permanence. Porous formations of the stone’s structure act as an intentional disruption to the clean geometric forms of the series adding character and intrigue. The limited edition series was crafted from travertine and locally produced in Italy from a combination of machine and traditional hand made processes, each piece exhibiting its own unique characteristics and form with no one piece alike. Mazer is designed by Australian designer Tom Fereday exemplifying Fereday’s desire to honour materiality, combining form and function to produce enduring works.
Tom Fereday develops products based on the principle of honest design, conveying a design process which celebrates the materials and manufacturing processes behind furniture and products, to design from the inside out. By using the materials and environment as a positive design constraint we guide intelligent and thoughtful design outcomes which connect with people through natural materials, tactile finishes and unique design. We strive to create enduring designs which are meaningful to people and their environment.
Born in Australia, Tom Fereday grew up in England studying at the Wimbledon School of Art before moving to Sydney to complete an honours in Industrial Design at the University of Technology Sydney. Working across europe and Australia Tom Fereday went onto found his sole practice in 2012.
