About the Item

This is an old wooden bench made in China. It is thought to have been made in the early to mid-20th century. It has a unique design that is unique to China, and inherits the design of furniture made around the Ming Dynasty. It is a rustic piece of furniture used in factories and private homes, and is made of materials such as cedar. The color that has been engraved over the years has a texture that gives a sense of "wabi-sabi", and gives the space warmth and calm. The simple and sturdy design that makes use of ancient craft techniques is a piece that can be used for a long time. Most Chinese furniture of this type is repainted. However, this bench has not been painted at all, and it has become like this due to aging because it was probably used under the eaves. Also, if you look at the sixth image, you can see that the board of the seat is slightly twisted. However, there is almost no wobble and you can sit on it without any problems. It is 100cm wide, so two people can sit on it. The seat depth is 15cm, so it is a little narrow. It blends perfectly with Japanese modern interiors and spaces with a natural atmosphere, creating a gentle atmosphere that only natural materials can provide.
