Pattern makers trace and cut complex forms that will cover the bench from thick sheets of copper, brass or white bronze. Once the bench is joined together, it is meticulously encased in a tight fitting skin of white bronze, copper or brass. The metal finish will tarnish over time, but regular non-abrasive household metal polish can be used to restore the original luster.
