About the Item

Dress a farmhouse dining table with this elegant pair of antique benches. Crafted in the Poitou region of France circa 1890, each long seat is hand-carved from solid cherry wood and built with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. The benches stand on three angled octagonal legs connected by a central stretcher for added support and balance. The single-plank tops showcase beautiful grain patterns and subtle irregularities that speak to their provincial character. Both pieces are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, featuring a smooth surface and a warm, rich walnut-brown patina. Perfect for a country dining room, kitchen, or covered terrace, these long benches embody the timeless charm and craftsmanship of 19th-century rural France. Measures: 112″ W × 11″ D × 17.75″ H
