Pair of Elegant Louis XVI Style Parcel Gilt Benches Cream and Blue Lacquer

About the Item

This pair of Louis XVI style benches showcases exceptional craftsmanship and elegant design. Lacquered in a sophisticated palette of delicate cream and ivory tones, accented with striking blue lacquered bands and intricate gilded inlays of leaves, flowers, and rosettes. The fluted, tapered legs adorned with acanthus leaves inlays and subtly curved arms, terminating in graceful scrolls, add to their refined aesthetic. Intricate pierced detailing adorns the armrests. Their centrally placed decorative bands with floral swags carvings create a sense of refined sophistication. Their elegant design and versatile size make these benches equally at home in a variety of settings. Consider them flanking a console table in a grand entryway, adding a touch of refined elegance to a living room, or creating a charming window seat. Their versatility extends to less formal spaces, functioning beautifully as additional seating in a dining room or as stylish accents in a hallway. The possibilities are as varied and elegant as the benches themselves. These beautifully preserved benches are in very good overall condition, retaining their original patina and offering stable seating. Minor wear consistent with age and use only serves to enhance the rich character of the piece. The patina speaks to their history and adds a depth and authenticity that is hard to replicate. Upholstered in a vintage light blue fabric with a herringbone pattern (in good condition). Re-upholstery options available. Dimensions: W. 88cm, H. 60cm, D. 40cm, Seat Height 45cm. From a private Tuscan villa.
