A handsome pair of French 19th century Empire st. Mahogany and giltwood stools. Each circular stool is raised by three square tapered legs with the front leg displaying a handsome paw foot and a richly carved lion with an impressive mane and fine mottled top cap. The straight frieze displays a delicate wrap around fillet and showcases the beautiful wood grain. All original gilt throughout.
