About the Item
Grand pair of Italian hand-carved scroll arm benches made in the Baroque taste. The bench seats feature highly carved beech frames with intricate designs having a floral motif. The finish is intentionally distressed or pickled to mimic age. The frames have been recently upholstered with an off-white neutral linen style fabric. The benches are sturdy and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. Each bench is supported by six square legs conjoined by stretchers ending with a block foot. The legs have decorative spandrels with graceful curved scrolls designed in the California romantic style and manner of Dennis and Leen. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
