Rare Early 19th C. Camargue Salt Bench

About the Item

An oak bench with notched rail-back over sliding front door. Solid back and sides with notching above sliding door. Excellent color. Sturdy and attractive. Termed a salt bench as bench was used in front of the fire to store salt used for cooking. French, Camargue region, circa 1800. Rare.
