R&Y Augousti
Founded in 1989 by husband and wife Ria and Yiouri Augousti, this maker combines Art Deco and contemporary design in furniture and home-accessory collections as well as sculptural objects. From their flagship store on Paris’s rue du Bac, the Augoustis work closely with customers, including globally famous interior designers, architects and celebrities, to create custom pieces for their homes and projects. Although the use of shagreen is their signature, they have also pioneered patterns that mix this and other exotic materials with shells, parchment, eel skin, semiprecious stones, snakeskin and metal. Following in their footsteps, the Augoustis’ daughter recently opened a showroom in New York called KIFU PARIS, which carries the R&Y Augousti collection; her fiancé’s sculptural candle collection, Patrick Coard Paris; and her own furniture and home accessories.
