About the Item

A modern-day classic made from a special combination of materials. Its special look comes from the striking frame, which is crafted from folded, bent steel sheet with a finely textured powder-coating. The seat is crafted from open-pored, painted ash. Available in black or white, the bench is highly versatile and an eye-catcher in entrance areas and any other place where seating or storage are needed. A strong design statement. After studying he opened his own design studio in Munich in 2003. With designs for e15, Established & Sons, Moroso, Wilkhahn and Thonet among others, Stefan Diez has made a name for himself internationally and won numerous design awards. His work has been exhibited by major museums, and he has long since acquired a reputation as one of the most innovative, internationally successful German designers.
