Hello, This exceptional pair of Viennese upholstered Biedermeier bergeres from c. 1825 are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design. Delicate pastel and expressive color of the upholstery beautifully emphasizes the warm amber shade of the walnut wood. The chairs are raised on delicately curved feet with turned buttons. These pieces has a lovely walnut book-matched veneer accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina. Pieces of such quality as this pair of Biedermeier bergeres are very rare and hard to find. They sit well and are very comfortable.
