Carved French Bergere Chair
About the Item
Carved French bergere chair, the serpentine crest rail with carved flowers and foliate, the arms have carved foliate with carved volutes on either side; base of the arms with carved acanthus; entire chair is covered in muslin. The serpentine shaped seat is above the front rail featuring carved flowers and foliate in high relief; cabriole front and back legs have similar carving( front legs terminate with carved acanthus). This chair has a beautiful patina and warm, rich color.
