About the Item
Frau armchair with ottoman model 1919
1919, by Poltrona Frau, is a historical armchair inspired by the model 128, which entered Renzo Frau's catalog beginning in 1919 and echoed the opulent features of Rococo bergère. Upholstered and fully upholstered in petrol-blue leather, it features a backrest design obtained by hand capitonnée work on a seasoned beechwood support frame. The pouf, rectangular in shape, is upholstered in the same leather as the armchair.
The frame features the large ears of the backrest and wide flutter arms finished in pleating, with the brass plate arm and walnut saucer on which sits the small round brass ashtray branded with the Frau logo.
Gilt metal rhombus label on the lower back to show details of the chair and the specimen number (No. 1533):

At the bottom label of Poltrona Frau manufacture with serial number.

In very good overall condition, some minor signs of wear however compatible with limited home use.
