This pair of French barrel back Bergères chairs were made in the early part of the 19th century (circa 1820s).

With their fluted legs, rosettes on the knees and general detailing, they are typical of the French Louis XVI style, refined and elegant.

They have their original paint and have been newly reupholstered in Belgian linen.
