About the Item

Beautiful lacquered canapé, fine late 18th century Parisian production circa 1795 (Directoire period). Finely carved ribs and roses patterns, beautiful proportions. A high range production in the taste of George Jacob work, not stamped. In very good condition with antique repairs. We replaced the antique upholstery and had our canapé covered with a fine Directoire champagne-colored striped silk fabric from manufacturer Tassinari & Chatel, framed by a black braid. It makes an excellent match between modern style and antique style. Matching cushions are included.
