Miniature Canapé Dom Joao V Style

D Joao V style miniature canapé. A small chaise longue in the style of D. João V, also known as Dom João V, that typically reflects the characteristics and aesthetics of the Baroque period, which was prominent during his reign as the King of Portugal from 1706 to 1750. Features a wooden frame, intricately carved with ornate motifs such as scrolling foliage, acanthus leaves, and other decorative elements characteristic of the Baroque style. The backrest of the chaise longue is slightly curved, providing a comfortable reclining position. The armrests are gracefully curved as well, showcasing the craftsmanship of the period. The legs are in a cabriole-shaped, with ornate carvings at the knees and feet. Baroque furniture is known for its opulence, grandeur, and intricate details. Overall this miniature version is a reflection of the lavish and ornate furniture that was popular during the Baroque era.
