18th Century Swedish folk 'Bleking' chair
About the Item
Beautiful, sculptural Swedish folk chair, also known as a Bleking chair, is a type of wooden chair with a simple, often three-legged design, originating from the Blekinge region of Sweden. These chairs are typically characterised by their rustic, handcrafted appearance and durable construction.
Crafted in the 18th Century, Sweden, the chairs have a lovely deep stain and are in excellent antique condition, with wear consistent with age. Repairs to the backrest of one chair as visible in the photos.
There are currently two chairs available and the price is per chair. These look particularly impactful as a pair together. Handcrafted primitive folk chairs such as these truly are one of a kind as each one is unique and one of a kind.
