Early 19th century Swedish Gustavian chairs " The Swedish Model" A beautifully pair of Gustavian chairs scraped by hand to its well preserved original paint. Lovely blue color. Beautiful carved flowers & a reeded oval. The seat height is 45cm on one chair and the other 47cm. The chairs are reupholstery in a beautifully patterned fabric. The original seat is underneath with saddle-girth & horsehair. Good antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks, scratchers, wear, as is to be expected with functional antique furniture. Made in painted pine.
