About the Item
Pair of chairs with armrests, upholstered in green. Modernist in design, possibly dating from the 1940s, they have a solid wood frame with straight lines and slightly rounded corners, typical of the functionalist and rationalist aesthetic of the first half of the 20th century. The backrest and seat are upholstered in dark green velvet, outlined by a golden welt. The armrests, simple and linear, extend in continuity with the front legs, while the back legs are gently arched for greater stability.
The ensemble reflects a balance between comfort and formality, and would have been designed for institutional environments, offices or waiting rooms.
