This is an antique drawing room chair. An English, walnut ladies or side seat, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.
Delightfully upholstered chair with a fine decorative appearance
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Select walnut stocks presents fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Traditionally stuffed and benefiting from a later professional upholstering
Exceptional craftsmanship displayed by the impressive, foliate relief crest rail
Shaped back rest with a padded cushion over a carved leaf lower rail
Striking gold and light blue upholstery with tasteful gold brocade trim
Shaped front apron unites to the centre with a double scroll motif
Broad knees accentuated with prominent relief carved decoration
Cabriole legs to the front ride smoothly upon a pair of ceramic castors
